13 REASONS WHY I AM A ‪MUSLIM‬ – Famous Footballer EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR Print E-mail
Tuesday, 11 August 2015 08:26

I GOT 13 VALID REASONS WHY AND HOW MUSLIMS ARE LIKE JESUS (PBUH) AND TRUER FOLLOWERS OF JESUS THAN MOST CHRISTIANS BELIEVE:

1. Jesus (pbuh) taught that there is only One God and Only God should be worshipped as taught in Deut 6:4, Mark 12:29. Muslims also believe this as taught in the Qur’an verse 4:171.

2. Jesus (pbuh) didn’t eat pork as taught in Leviticus 11:7 , and neither do Muslims as taught in the Qur’an verse 6:145.

3. Jesus (pbuh) greeted with the words “as salaamu alaikum” (Peace be with you) in John 20:21. Muslims also greet each other this way.

4. Jesus (pbuh) always said “God Willing” (inshallah), Muslims say this too before doing anything as taught in the Qur’an verses 18:23-24.

5. Jesus (pbuh) washed his face, hands, and feet before praying. The Muslims do the same.

6. Jesus (pbuh) and other prophets of the Bible prayed with their head to the ground (see Matthew26:39). Muslims do too as taught in the Qur’an verse 3:43.

7. Jesus (pbuh) had a beard and wore a throbe. It is Sunnah for Muslim men to do the same.

Towards Understanding ISLAM

Read 24 questions & 24 answers

1. What is Islam? Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. For over one quarter of the world's population, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness, and the majority have nothing to do with the extremely grave events which have come to be associated with their faith.

2. What does Islam mean? The Arabic word 'Islam' simply means 'submission', and derives from a word meaning 'peace'. In a religious context it means complete submission to the will of God. 'Allah' is the Arabic name for God, which is used by Arab Muslims and Christians alike.

3. Who are the Muslims? Over 1.5 billion people from a vast range of races, nationalities and cultures across the globe - from the southern Philippines to Nigeria - are united by their common Islamic faith. About 18% live in the Arab world; the world's largest Muslim community is in Indonesia; substantial parts of Asia and most of Africa are Muslim, while significant minorities are to be found in the Soviet Union, China, North and South America and Europe.

Targeting Muslim women must stop

  By: Shelina Zahra Janmohamed

When Muslim women raise their voices for access to education and employment, or autonomy or rights, we are rarely listened to. But as weapons against the other, suddenly we become significant. I’ve had enough. The war over Muslim women must stop.

The war over Muslim women continues to rage, as though we are a territory to be owned, a missile to be deployed in the vested interests of others, and as collateral damage in a cosmic conflict.

If you open Western newspapers and there is a story about terrorism, you will find our picture next to it. If you read justifications of military action in Afghanistan, it is our “liberation” that is cited.

If societies where Muslims live as minorities are failing, our niqabs, our economic inactivity, our supposed segregation is to blame. But also, if you listen to Muslim religious leaders we are responsible for being the buffer before a wave of catastrophic western evil.

Our headscarves are the sandbags holding back the fire of western feminism. We are told that our fight for rights is a bid to destroy family and society.

The niqab: to wear or not to wear Print E-mail

The niqab: to wear or not to wear

  By: Amal Al-Sibai

[ The majority of Muslim women around the world who wear the veil do so by choice and not out of coercion and they do not view the veil as an infringement upon their freedom.

The women who wear the face veil want to be able to speak for themselves. They said:

“This honors me.”

“It protects me.”

“This, for me, is true liberation.”

Apart from God Almighty, I do not want anyone to tell me how to dress.”

“It is not a sign of backwardness; it is a sign of moving forward.”]

The niqab or the face veil that some Muslim women wear is widely misunderstood and is seen by some as a form of oppression and backwardness. It is a politically charged issue, and in response, a group of women from a wide range of backgrounds living in the West decided to tell the world why they wear the niqab.

Campaign Islam is an organization founded by Muslim sisters. They are not blood sisters but Muslim women commonly refer to one another as sisters because the bond of faith, shared belief, and a desire for each other’s good is sometimes stronger than blood ties.

These active, vibrant young women have initiated several awareness campaigns to help speak out against oppression and dismantle stereotypes surrounding Islam. They are giving a voice to the unheard women and children; whether it is the children of Syria pleading for their rights to food, security, shelter, freedom, and education, or the women demanding their right to wear the niqab (face veil).

Puppet Indian Muslim leaders are real problem

Azaan on mike forcibly stopped

In Bihar seven and half year Nitish Kumar ruled Bihar with the help of BJP. Waqf properties left uncared, Qabristan captured, Forbesganj innocent Muslims are not getting justice due to judicial inquiry, Katihar Medical College (Muslim educational institute) clandestinely raided, job's share injustice, etc. But new trend has grown in Bihar that dominant hindu banned Azaan on mike in Tanra Samos Pura village of vaishali district where Qabristan was transferred to non Muslim but top district official saved the C.O led to saffron brigade a sealted. National commission for minorities must take cognisance of criminal negligence of vaishali district officials.

Muslims remember promises of politicians

Maharajganj MP bye election won by RJD and the ruling JD (U) education minister lost because Muslims of Maharajganj voted against JD (U) candidate The bye election held in May and Muslims remembered the JD (U) education minister had promised that 24000 Urdu teachers test would held in May but it did not held.

Double standard of secularism who would reply?

Nitish Kumar pulled his party out of NDA in the name of opposing Narendra Modi but sole mantra of secularism is limited to this or justice for all? Under trial prisoner Munna Singh in Jammu. Immediately Bihar govt gave Rs 5 lakh compensation to the family (01/07/13) In Bagha police firing Bihar govt gave Rs. 5 lakh compensation to the families of 7 persons died in firing. But 4-4 Muslims were killed in Forbesganj police firing & SSB firing in Arraria why Bihar govt buried justie in the name of inquiry commission?

Love in Islam

Love: the Sole Purpose of our Creation

Every heart that is not aflame is no heart;

A frozen heart is nothing but a handful of clay.

O God! Give me a breast that sets ablaze,

And in that breast a heart and that heart consumed with fire.

In Islam, the concept of love is one of the most important concepts. This fact manifests itself in Islamic philosophy, theology, mysticism and ethics; indeed, in some aspects, it plays the crucial role. For example, in defining the Islamic point of view on the relation between God and Universe in general, and between God and Mankind in particular, love has the most significant and profound place. Love is so central in Islam that it is seep as "the firmest handhold of faith" and "faith (Iman) is nothing but love for the sake of God and hate for the sake of God".

Bikini vs. Burka

The Debauchery of Women

On my wall, I have a picture of a Muslim woman shrouded in a burka.

Beside it is a picture of an American beauty contestant, wearing nothing but a bikini.

One woman is totally hidden from the public; the other is totally exposed. These two extremes say a great deal about the clash of so-called "civilizations."

The role of woman is at the heart of any culture. Apart from stealing Arab oil, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are about stripping Muslims of their religion and culture, exchanging the burka for a bikini.

I am not an expert on the condition of Muslim women and I love feminine beauty too much to advocate the burka here. But I am defending some of the values that the burka represents for me.

Hijabed Like Me: A Non Muslim Woman Experiments with Hijab

by Kathy Chin

I walked down the street in my long white dress and inch-long, black hair one afternoon, and truck drivers whistled and shouted obscenities at me.

I felt defeated. I had just stepped out of a hair salon. I had cut my hair short, telling the hairdresser to trim it as she would a guy's.

I sat numbly as my hairdresser skillfully sheared into my shoulder-length hair with her scissors, asking me with every inch she cut off if I was freaking out yet. I wasn't freaking out, but I felt self-mutilated.

A war on Islam

By: Musadiq Maqbool Bhat

Islam is a religion of peace, free from disquieting and excruciating thoughts. It not only forbids the mischief on earth but also allows the followers of other religions to live in the Islamic state and practice their religion without any pressure of changing faith. In Islam, peace is the only rule and war has always remained the exception. But it’s a lamentable situation that in today’s time the word Islam is being associated with terror, mass killing, kidnapping, suicide bombing and other most vicious acts whose prohibition in Islam is very clear.

It took only few years for people to change their perception of Islam from the most peaceful religion to something which ratifies violence. Thanks to today’s media and the bewildering conspiracies of which gave the world enough reasons to impeach the peaceful nature of Islam.

Imagine this, you went to a shopping mall with your family and as you entered, your presence magnetized most of the peoples’ attention. Some felt insecure while others had a fear. People started gazing at your children and wife thinking of you as an enemy of humanity. You wouldn’t be surprised, because such reactions for a practicing Muslim are very common. Islamophobia (fear of Muslims) is spreading like a wildfire, some believed that it’s a result of September 11 attacks on World Trade Centre while others associated it with the growing population of Muslims in Western nations.

Marrying at an Early Age: Its Blessings and Its Benefits

Marriage does not burden the young man above his ability as some of the people think. Marriage brings benefits and blessings. Matrimony is a necessary Sunnah of Allah for the human-being. Matrimony is not a horrible nightmare. It is only a door from the doors of righteousness for the person with the correct intention.

Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan said:

From among the benefits of getting married at an early age is the obtaining of children, which make the youth delighted at their presence.

Allah says:

And those who say: “Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun (pious – see V.2:2 and the footnote of V.3:164).”

[Quran 25:74]

Wives and children are a delight; Allah promised that marriage brings about pleasure. This pleasure encourages and persuades the youth to take an interest in matrimony.

This is also similar to how Allah mentioned that children are a share of this world’s beauty.

If you go through the lectures and teaching of the scholars we will feel that women's responsibility is only to satisfy men's desires and sexuality. I hope this article would help to open the hearts and minds of Muslim men. Insha Allah. -adm.]

Good Men for Good Women

Many men and women in our communities live under the illusion that only men feel desire or have an interest in being sexual, and that women should not or cannot feel attraction, do not experience sexual pleasure, and can live healthy intimate lives without sexual satisfaction for lengthy periods of time.  This leads to misunderstandings and disappointments about wanting sex, initiating intimacy, and/or feeling excitement when sexual stimulation occurs.

This series of articles contains the perspectives of several Muslim women at different stages of life who have grown up and lived in different parts of the world, East and West, and want to share some insights with Muslim men – both married and unmarried – who don’t want sexually repressed, bitter spouses and failing marriages.  This is a look behind the scenes to aid understanding of a universal social issue. For the sake of privacy, each writer is identified only by her marital status. May Allāh bless all of us with loving, passionate, and fulfilling intimate lives.

The importance of balance

  By: Maryam Hedayat

Why most people think that to follow Islam we have to stay away from all worldly desires and needs! Most of us believe that if we have to be religious and pious we must avoid all worldly requirements and wishes! In other words we can follow one at a time, either Deen or Duniya.

There is a misunderstanding among many people that Islam is tough and a difficult religion to follow. In fact, Islam is not an ascetic religion that expects its followers to abandon the world and worship Allah all day and night in a cave.

Instead Islam forbids such tendency in behavior to develop and encourages people to interact with society and live normal lives within the boundaries set by Allah.

Perhaps most of the people avoid meeting friends, relatives and neighbors, because they believe that if they indulge in meeting people they will not be able to perform their religious duties well.

How to be a good mother-in-law

We are all familiar with the persona of the stereotypical mother-in-law -- a woman generally portrayed with an intrusive and critical nature. Mothers-in-law are derided in comedy sketches, in horror stories, in books, and in real life.

A Mother-in-law, that person who is most frequently the butt of a lot of jokes. Mother-in-law, the person who is considered a meddler.

Mother-in-law, the person who is considered a busybody. Mother-in-law, just saying the name conjures up all sorts of connotations!

Do all mothers-in-law live up to this nefarious reputation? Obviously not. But enough seem to play so powerful a role in the dynamics of their son's and/or daughter's marriage that warrants special attention.

How to be a good mother-in-law... infact Become an A+ Mother-In-Law.

Treat your daughter-in-law just like she is your daughter: Most importantly, treat your daughter-in-law like family from the very beginning. This will help both of you bond and establish a loving relationship that is sure to last. If they come to visit; talk to her like she is your own. Become her companion and helper - one who can give her peace and comfort and repose in her struggle with the rough-and-tumble of raising a family and running a home.
